 Waiting
« Thread Started on Jul 19, 2008, 11:28am »

A silver coated cat slunk into view, her paw steps sure, but cautious. Proud, but alert. She didn't belong here, shouldn't be here, yet she was. A long strip of black raced along behind her, venturing on forever in either direction. The path smelled of rotten crow food and two-legs, and the usually roaring path was silent without a single monster in view. The she-cat didn't care. She was hungry, her stomache screaming from not eating in many days. That was all she cared about at the moment. Survival. Plotting would have to wait a minute or two.

The cat placed her pawsteps carefully as she scented the air, continuing until she caught scent of what she was searching for. Prey. Food.

Sliding down into a perfect crouch, the silver cat slunk forward, approaching the unconcerned mouse. Suddenly, her prey lifted its head, sensing the cats approach.

"Drat it!"
the cat thought to herself in a bored tone as the mouse prepared to flee, and sighed before she sent a quick halt to the mouse's progress. In reality, there was no one there but herself, but in the illusion that the mouse was suddenly burdened with, there were huge snakes everywhere, surrounding the terrified creature, and there was only one open spot, free of snakes.

That, of course, was where the cat was sitting, ready for her meal. The poor mouse dashed toward what he thought was salvation, but was actually his doom. With a motion of great practice, Fallen Angel swiped the mouse up before throwing it up into the air, and promptly caught it in her mouth which she promptly snapped down, killing the mouse.

All of it had been child's play for the rogue. Soon enough, a patrol would pass through and she'd be forced back across the Thunderpath in order to hide from view. Her ex clan mates did not need to know that she had not died yet, or that she was here; all would become clear in the remaining days of the clans. But first, it was lunch.

Fallen tiredly sank her teeth through the mouse's still warm flesh, gracefully spitting out any bones that she found. Once they were all out in a neat pile before her, she casually swallowed the divided portions of the mouse, finally satisfying her stomache. With a pleased sigh, the silver she-cat dug a crisp hole which she shoved the bones in before covering it; the foolish StoneClan cats would never know she had been here.

With a flash, Fallen Angel left as quickly as she had come, lingering beside the Thunderpath for a moment to ensure that no monster were coming to gobble or crush her and to gaze sadly at the territory for a moment before shaking her head. Her home was gone. It was destroyed by the filthy cats. Only elimination of those disgusting creatures would return her home. Only then, could the forest be correct. Only then would the fallen angel be satisfied.

The silver cat raced across the Thunderpath, her pelt striped from the singe marks that had changed her life, and shined for a single moment in the light, her anger tatooed upon her skin before dissapearing into the bushes from which she had come.

One day, you will pay StoneClan. You, and all of the other filthy clans as well.

She had been tracking this cat for quite some time now. They shared a connection, the two rogues, the first connection being the most obvious one, the fact that they did not belong to a clan. They both enjoyed inflicting pain, though she could do that much more easily than the other she-cat rogue. Another thing, the most important connection, was that in them both burned a hatred hotter than the sun, a hatred directed at the clans. Why the cat hated her clan, she had no idea. But she didn't really care, either.

"Yuck," Pride muttered, her nose wrinkling at the stench of the Thunderpath. She was too dignified to jump at the monsters that crashed by, though she was a little shaken by them. Though the silver cat was pretty, Pride, being Pride, did not think of her as beautiful. She was beautiful. In fact, she was the very definition of beautiful, not to mention intelligent. She viewed herself as a sort of future ruler of the clans, and indeed she was feared in each and every one of the clans. Often Pride liked to imagine that Starclan feared her also, those silly ancestors of hers.

But Starclan was gone now. Just like every other ounce of kindness she had had before. Then again, Pride doubted that she had ever been kind ever in her life, not even as a kit. In fact, she had enjoyed inflicting pain, even from the beginning. The way her victems squirmed and struggled in her grasp made her go into a state of ecstacy, and many cats viewed her as insane. And maybe she was. Who knows? Sanity is overrated. She prefered being insane.

"Did you finally catch something?" Pride rasped in a sarcastic voice, using her gift to make the shadows wrap themselves around the other rogue. She was skilled in her gift of shadows, being able to make the shadows into a sort of physical 'being' of sorts. "It honestly shouldn't be that hard to catch prey. Of course, you probably don't want to be caught by the clans, so I understand your whole stealthy act, but..." Pride paused, slinking out of the shadows with a smirk.

"Wouldn't life be better if you could roam freely within the clan territories? You should join me, whoever you are. Terrorize the clans and make sure they know that if they so much as hiss at you, you won't hesitate to kill one of their precious kits, and they'll let you in with open arms," she said with a dark, and slightly sinister, giggle. Not many cats could make a giggle sound sinister. Pride was, however, not like most cats. Her evil was pure, her heart ink black. She wondered if this cat was the same. Time to find out...

Fallen Angel smirked slightly, drinking in the cat's words. It all made perfect sense to the silver cat's twisted mind and pitch black heart. The puny clans? Worthless. Pathetic. Nothing compared to a powerful rogue. Especially not two. This cat before her, Fallen could tell that she was not fooled by the clan's disgusting lies. She saw the truth. Felt the truth. And the two cats saw things eye to eye."The day is dawning. They day that a new revolution comes, one that is led not by pitiful cats who think that happiness and love is the answer to everything. A world that is led by others like us, cats like us who can see the truth. Together we will make that day come. For together, no clan, no happy cat that thinks all the world is a giant sun bubble, can defeat us. I am a Fallen Angel, and I accept."

Pride burst into laughter, though it was dark and bone-chilling. "Truth? Who said I saw the truth? There is no truth. We live a world of lies, my dear," she chuckled. "I see nothing but Black, and I see It in you. We shall make a good team, you and I." The elegant, gray she-cat sat on her haunches and stared at the forest around her, a small, mischevious smile parting her lips once more. She directed her gaze at Fallen Angel, raising an eyebrow. "But first you must make the clans fear you. It's been far too long since I've tormented anything larger than a mouse. I'm craving to hear the squeals of a kit. Would you like to help?" she asked, eyes sparkling.

Pride loved torture. In fact, she would probably kill herself if she lost the ability to cause pain. The sadistic she-cat was not merciful in her doings, and whether it be kit, apprentice, warrior, or elder, no matter what the size, the gender, she would still relish its screams, even if they were incredibly high-pitched and annoying. Pride was not a "good" cat. No, she was as "bad" as you could get.

Fallen smiled again. "And that in its self is the truth. That there is none. Only chaos. And us, swimming in the Black." Licking her lips slightly, Fallen breathed out a sigh of longing. "A kit in pain...Yes, I can already taste its fear," A shiver of delight went down Fallen's spine and back up again. "Of course. Just the perfect thing."

Pride's lips opened into a smirk. This she-cat... she would be easy to manipulate. Very, very easy. But no need for her to know that now. The moment she realizes, it'll be too late. Nodding, Pride began to pad to the Thunderpath. Glancing both ways to see if any monsters were coming, Pride zoomed across the disgusting, concrete road and pounced on a mouse on the other side, all done within seconds. Giggling as the mouse squirmed in her grasp, squeaking and struggling, Pride sent a jolt of pain running down the small creature, killing it instantly. She ate the mouse while waiting for the other she-cat to catch up, watching patiently with her tail twitching in the air.
